Bonita Oliver will lead a poetry reflection on the words of Audre Lorde's, Coal. This will be the inspiration for the activities that follow. Bonita will source what the meaning of the word 'black" is to the participants in order to facilitate the creation of a poem composed by the collective. Then Bonita will facilitate a Circle Singing in the style of Bobby McFerrin, all using words that come up during the poetry reflection. 2 dancers will interpret the words into movement.
